I believe they sometimes tell the truth, but a photograph can lie to you. An example is a photograph you could view it and see what you think is its meaning or what it represents, but it could be something different entirely. A good example would be a rorschach

Q- what is more descriptive, a text that describes an event, or a photograph that describes an event

A- I believe that a photograph speaks louder than text when it comes to describing an event. In text you only get what happened but from a photograph you get a visualization and you can interpret it based on what you see in the image.
